Consumer goods analyst and former NPD Group CE division president Peter Greene has joined market research firm InfoScout as consumer durables practice director.
In his new role, Greene will spearhead InfoScout’s expansion in the home improvement and durables categories, incuding consumer tech.
“Peter’s extensive experience in home industry and research sciences brings an unmatched level of expertise to our company and our clients,” said Brian Kay, senior sales director.
Indeed, Greene brings 20 years’ experience in information services, including 17 years at NPD where he served as president of both the CE and home divisions. He also toiled as durables senior VP at Nielsen, and most recently assisted Apriss Retail (formerly The Retail Equation) as it expanded its non-fraud-based services.
His new home, InfoScout, boasts the largest purchase panel in the U.S., capturing more than 100 million online and in-store sales receipts annually, and 1 out of every 500 shopping trips across the country, spanning the CE, mass merchant, specialty, home improvement and e-tail channels. The company provides its real-time, omnichannel insights to such clients as Samsung, NBC Universal, Procter & Gamble, J&J, Chobani, Red Bull and Kroger.
