Doug Moore Named As Goedeker’s New CEO

To succeed Steve Goedeker, company leader since 1977

Goedeker’s, the Direct to Consumer (DTC) appliance and furniture e-tailer founded in 1951, named industry veteran Doug Moore as their new CEO. Moore will focus on expanding Goedeker’s online presence, investing on placing the company’s selection of offerings online. He assumed his new role on August 20, 2019.

“I am excited to lead the Goedeker’s team, as we make investments and expand the current business platform,” said Moore in a statement. “We intend to accelerate our DTC capabilities into a stronger market position within the Direct to Consumer U.S. appliances, furniture and housewares markets.”

Moore is an industry veteran with over 30 years of management and merchandising experience. He served as the hhgregg Chief Merchandising and Marketing Officer, and also held key roles for Sears, as the Senior Vice President-Hardlines and the President of Appliances. He also held a 17-year tenure with Circuit City, culminating with his role as Executive Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer.

A dominant player in the DTC appliance market, Goedekers’ offers a strong brand assortment including KitchenAid, Whirlpool, Maytag, GE, Monogram, Electrolux, Bosch, Samsung, LG, Frigidaire, Dacor, Ashley, Summit and an almost endless aisle of products for consumers.
