
DJI has named Roger Luo president of the company, a new position.
Luo, who was previously operation VP, will be tasked with international development of the drone manufacturer.
According to The NPD Group, DJI was the top drone brand in Q2 2017, as measured by U.S. dollar sales. Trailing it were GoPro, Yuneec, Parrot and Protocol.
Frank Wang, DJI founder and CEO, said in a statement: “DJI now has over 11,000 staff worldwide, with offices in 17 cities around the world. As we continue to expand our global footprint, we need to strengthen our management in the area of operations. The move will also enable us to gain a deeper understanding of our growing customer base and build stronger relationships with our dealers and partners.”
Luo has been with the company since 2015 and has also held positions at Apple, Foxconn, Siemens and BenQ.
