CES Asia 2018 Attendance Grew 21%

Visitors up 63% since show’s inception

Attendance for CES Asia grew 21 percent vs. last year, the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) announced.

The organization released results from an independent audit of the June show. Overall attendance hit a record 46,748 attendees, featuring members from 75 countries, regions and territories, and 1,439 media.

It featured 529 exhibitors, up 14 percent from 2017, while the show floor spanned 25,706 net square meters, up nearly 25 percent.

CES Asia 2019, slated for June 11-13 and once again held in Shanghai, will include a new exhibit hall. Confirmed exhibitors include 3M, Audio-Technica, Baidu DuerOS, Continental, Desay SV, Digital China, Dow, Fengxiu, Fossil/Misfit, Garmin, Hanergy, Huawei, Libratone, NavInfo, Neusoft, OtterBox, PICO, SF-Express, Skyworth, Sogou, Sonos, Suning and Wacom.

Since its inception in 2015, CES Asia attendance has grown 63 percent, said CTA.

“CES Asia 2018 was groundbreaking across all measures, shattering attendance records and showcasing cutting-edge technology solutions that will change our world for the better,” said Karen Chupka, executive VP, CES. “The show serves as the epicenter for innovation in the Asian marketplace and beyond, with the latest in artificial intelligence, augmented and virtual reality, smart home, vehicle tech and more. We expect CES Asia 2019 to be bigger and better than ever with global powerhouse brands, industry leaders and top media from around the world.”

Registration will open in January.
