Issaquah, Wash. — Costco said strength in its CE business contributed to higher comp sales in November.
Net sales for the No. 1 wholesale club rose 7 percent to $9.4 billion last month, while U.S. comps excluding revenue from gasoline rose 9 percent.
On a recorded call, finance director David Sherwood said CE was among the retailer’s “better-performing departments,” which helped drive a high single-digit gain in same-store hardlines sales.
