Brandon Named CEO Of Toys‘R’Us

Wayne, N.J. — David Brandon has been named CEO of Toys“R”Us, replacing the retiring Antonio Urcelay.

Brandon was most recently intercollegiate athletics director for the University of Michigan. He also served as chairman and CEO of Domino’s Pizza for 11 years, where he remains chairman of the board.

Urcelay joined Toys“R”Us in 1996 and was appointed chairman and CEO in 2013. The last two years have been a transitional period for the chain — which ranks No. 20 on the TWICE Top 100 CE Retailers Report — as it intends to focus on “transforming the customer experience” in-store, online and via mobile.
