Audio manufacturer Beyerdynamic announced Edgar van Velzen as the company’s new managing director.
He will serve alongside Wolfgang Luckhardt, also managing director.
Van Velzen was most recently CEO of Teufel GmbH in Berlin. He’s also held positions with Sony and Harman Becker Automotive Systems.
“I am highly motivated when it comes to driving forward the strategic development of the company,” said van Velzen in a statement. “The great thing about Beyerdynamic is that the company is a one-stop shop, with both product development and production under one roof. This is right up my alley, as I am a product guy through and through and appreciate high-quality products.”
The German company has a U.S. office in Farmingdale, N.Y.
