Appliance Veteran Lenny Paul Dies At 73

Paul spent nearly half a century in the appliance business.

Majap industry veteran Leonard “Lenny” Paul died Wednesday, June 13. He would have turned 74 next month.

His nearly 50-year appliance career spanned general manager and VP posts at Electrolux, Haier America, Petters Group and Almo.

For the past five years Paul ran Philadelphia-based LRP Consulting, providing sales management, financial and strategic planning services to retailers and wholesalers.

Earlier on, the Air Force veteran spent 11 years at Electrolux as Eastern region general manager, then served as major appliances VP/general manager at Haier America.

Paul went on to manage the Polaroid and Sunbeam brands at Petters Consumer Brands before joining Almo, the international appliance and CE distributor, where he worked as Eastern division manager and Easter division VP before starting his consultancy.

He is survived by his wife Maryann, daughter Julia Ann Haslett, and four grandchildren. Services will be held Monday, June 18, at Joseph Levine & Sons Memorial Chapel in Trevose, Pa. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
