This month marks the 20th anniversary of the introduction of the HP Deskjet printer.
Just to take a stroll down memory lane, the first model was a plain-paper, black-and-white printer with a 300dpi output at two pages/minute. And all for the small sum of $995. The following year HP followed up this introduction with the Deskjet Plus at $995, which added landscape-printing capability, and the company dropped the price of the original to $795.
