PLUS Corp., a leading supplier of corporate mobile data-grade video projectors, announced it is now selling its first model designed for the home theater market through partner dealers and its company Web site.
The PLUS Piano HE-3100 home theater projector is billed as "the world's smallest, lightest home theater projector," and is selling for a $2,999 street price, the company said. The DLP-based projector had previously been shown at the Infocomm and CEDIA shows. The company said it would begin taking orders for the product as soon as its new Web site is activated this month.
Consumers can purchase the projector through the site, or visit one of the listed dealers for a demonstration. Dealers will take orders and PLUS will direct ship the unit to the customer's home.
Key features in the projector include: a 700:1 contrast ratio, integrated Silicon Image SIL 503 video scaling/processing with 3-2 pull-down detection and 16:9 widescreen compatibility.
