A quick look around the just opened Flatbush, Brooklyn location of
Sony recently announced the next round in price cuts to its television lines heading into the critical holiday selling season.
According to a list released by a Sony spokesman, prices were reduced on six Bravia 1,080p LCD TV models, including two XBR3 models — the KDL-46XBR3, drops $500 to a $4,099 suggested retail and the KDL-40XBR3 drops $400 to $3,399. Also included were two XBR2 models, the KDL-46XBR2, which drops $500 to $3,799, and the KDL-40XBR2, which drops $400 to $3,099. Other 1,080p models seeing price changes are the KDL-46V2500, which drops $300 to $3,499, and the KDL-40V2500, which drops $500 to $2,499.
Two 768p Bravia models also received price cuts. These include the KDL-46S2010, which drops $500 to $2,799 and the KDL-40S2010, which drops $500 to $1,999.
In rear-projection TV, Sony cut pricing on five SXRD models.
The SXRD models seeing cuts include the KDS-R70XBR2, which drops $1,000 to a $5,999 suggested retail, and the KDS-R60XBR2, which drops $500 to $3,799. The KDS-60A2000 drops $200 to $3,299, while the KDS-55A2000 drops $200 to $2,799 and the KDS-50A2000 drops $100 to $2,399.
Pricing on Sony's SXRD front projectors and LCD rear-projection sets was unchanged.
