Planar Systems recently unveiled a 42W-inch HD plasma TV, at an under $4,000 suggested retail.
Model PDP42HD features HD (1,024 by 768 pixels) picture resolution, seven input options, picture-in-picture and a free 2-day-air advance replacement warranty for one year.
The contrast ratio is listed as 800:1 and brightness is listed at 750 cd/m2. A picture-in-picture function and built-in NTSC tuner enable viewing multiple images simultaneously.
The PDP42HD is shipping now at a $3,999 suggested retail through online and direct retailers, including Dell, PC Connection, PC Mall and Tiger Direct.
