SECAUCUS, N.J. -Panasonic said it will ship to dealers this month a 27-inch combination TV and ShowStopper hard-disk video recorder with ReplayTV service.
Model PV-SS2710 will carry an $899.95 suggested retail price and will include a hard drive with capacity for up to 30 hours of video recordings at one time.
The new product will come to market just days after Sonicblue announced plans to acquire ReplayTV.
The digital video recorder developer announced last December that it had exited the recorder hardware end of the market and would instead license its technology and program guide service to manufacturer partners, such as Panasonic.
