Sonos Moves Music Server Onto Internet, Eliminates Need To Rip,
Store Locally
Denver — Sonos is moving music servers out of the home network and onto the
Internet to eliminate the need by time-starved consumers to rip CD libraries or
download songs to a PC. "Content in the home is becoming less and less important,” sales and
marketing VP Tom Cullen contended in announcing a partnership with the
RealNetworks.
