As previously reported, Yoshihiko Yamada officially took over as chairman/CEO of Matsushita Electric Corp. of America, while Masaru Kono became president/chief operating officer of Panasonic Consumer Electronics on June 29. Yamada replaces Don Iwatani and Kono replaces Andy Takani. Both Matsushita veterans return to company headquarters in Osaka, Japan.
