NEW YORK, Nov. 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Samsung Techwin America, a leader in surveillance technology, today announced the appointment of Richard Simone as the company’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing. In this role, Simone will be responsible for driving Samsung Techwin America’s growth in the consumer video monitoring & security industry.

Prior to joining Samsung Techwin America, Simone worked with Panasonic for 10 years, where he rose through the ranks to become Vice President of Sales and Merchandising. During his tenure, Simone successfully spearheaded a series of initiatives that propelled the company to increase market share and drive sales growth within the Appliance, Entertainment and Telephone categories.
Prior to Panasonic, Simone was a Buyer at several national retail organizations including Montgomery Ward, Kmart and Toy’s R’ Us. From 2003 to 2004, Simone served as Divisional Vice President at OfficeMax, where he oversaw multiple categories within the Electronics and Technology departments.
