Mobile Edge Cares: New Initiative Continues Mobile Edge’s Long-Standing Tradition of Giving Back

ANAHEIM, Calif., May 22, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — Mobile Edge, the leading provider of stylish laptop cases, messenger bags, and backpacks for busy travelers, students, professionals, and gamers is pleased to announce the launch of “Mobile Edge Cares,” a new initiative designed to help support and raise money for various charities each month through purchases made on the Mobile Edge website.

“We at Mobile Edge believe it is important for successful companies and organizations to help make our society a better place for everyone. In this regard, we set aside a portion of our profit each year to contribute to worthy charitable causes,” says President and CEO G. David Cartwright. “We also strive to be socially responsible and to enjoy rich, rewarding relationships with the communities we serve. One way for us to do this is through our Mobile Edge Cares initiative.”

Each month, designated charities and organizations receive donations based on the sale of our Mobile Edge products via our website, providing Mobile Edge customers a unique opportunity through their purchases to support these worthwhile organizations. These charities include the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, CHOC Children’s Hospital, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and the Boomer Esiason Foundation fighting Cystic Fibrosis.

National Missing Children’s Day is observed every year on May 25 as a day to remember all missing children and encourage families to make child safety a priority. For the months of May and June, Mobile Edge Cares will donate 10% of MobileEdge.com sales in support of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children® (NCMEC) through proceeds from sales of its NCMEC® Caring Case Collection. According to the FBI there were more than 460,000 reports of missing children made to law enforcement in the U.S. last year, and NCMEC received more than 8 million reports of suspected child sexual exploitation.

“At the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, we believe that one missing child is one too many,” said NCMEC spokesperson and child advocate, Callahan Walsh. “That’s why we’re grateful to Mobile Edge for its commitment to helping bring missing children home and giving hope to searching families.”

The Mobile Edge Cares initiative reflects Mobile Edge’s long-standing tradition of giving back. Over the years, Mobile Edge has contributed more than $500,000 to children’s charities, breast cancer awareness and research, and other organizations through the sales of its Caring Case Collection.

“We remain committed to producing the highest quality products possible,” says Cartwright. “And at the same time, we want to give back to the people and the communities we serve, with a particular focus on missing children, our military veterans, breast cancer, and children’s hospitals.”
