InFocus Adds Impact to Interactive Touchscreen Solutions With Projected Capacitive Touch Technology and 4K Resolution

Integrating the most advanced touch technology and the highest screen resolution, InFocus enhances its collaboration displays to deliver powerful and productive experiences

PORTLAND, Ore. – June 1, 2016 — InFocus Corporation (www.infocus.com) is adding premium capabilities, including projected capacitive touch and 4K resolution, to a variety of its interactive touchscreen and video conferencing solutions, the company announced today. InFocus created the original all-in-one video conferencing touchscreen solutions and the company is once again defining the category by enabling the best image clarity and most intuitive multi-touch capabilities for professional and education environments.

“Our customers do important work. Whether they are enterprise executives, educators, or emergency responders, we want to help them exceed their goals, more easily, every day,” said InFocus CEO Mark Housley. “To support their success we will continue to evolve our interactive displays and touchscreen solutions to feature the best technology for a seamless, intuitive experience.”

InFocus new 65-inch Mondopad, interactive 65-inch and 70-inch JTouch whiteboards, as well as the previously annouced 40-inch JTouch whiteboard and 65-inch Canvas Touch are the first InFocus products to employ projected capacitive touch. The technology, used on leading smartphones and personal tablets, eliminates the need for a stylus and enables a more intuitive and responsive user experience. Unlike IR touchscreens, capacitive touch technology allows more touch points with faster response and bezel-free edge-to-edge glass, allowing for a brighter and sharper display, a sleek design and remarkably fluid multi-touch capabilities.

The 4K Ultra HD screen resolution provides incredible clarity— four times the detail of a 1080p high definition display. A 4K display enables clearer images with more nuance and detail, creating the most realistic video experience possible. “We’re making it possible for people to see crystal-clear video, data and images with amazing detail,” added Housley. InFocus is adding 4K technology to several display solutions across its entire product line, including the 80-inch Mondopad, 80-inch JTouch and the new 70-inch JTouch. Housley continued, “We’ve created some really special solutions that set a new bar for performance and value. This is just the start of the amazing 4K and capacitive touch solutions we’ll be offering.”

InFocus is dedicated to integrating the best premium technology and will continue to offer additional sizes and combinations of interactive displays across its product line, to grow its customer solutions to meet the needs of changing office and mobile environments, while improving communication, collaboration and interaction.
