Consumer Electronics Distributors Saw Record Attendance at 17th Annual Fall Ball

Midwest regional distributor and member of the PowerHouse Alliance C.E.D. hosted three successful events this month, offering multiple new product demonstrations, trainings and special on-site promotions.

Northbrook, IL – October 26, 2016 – Consumer Electronics Distributors (C.E.D.), member of the PowerHouse Alliance and premium regional distributor of consumer and specialty electronics for the Chicago metropolitan market and broader Midwest, hosted dealers and manufacturers at three different events for their 17th annual Fall Ball.

With record high attendance at this year’s events, over 30 manufacturer representatives, 230 dealers and 150 industry affiliates flocked to C.E.D.’s Northbrook, IL headquarters, New Berlin, WI and Bloomington, MN locations. Attending local dealers and industry affiliates from their five-state territory experienced the latest technology and product demos from manufacturer reps, special promotions, gourmet food truck lunches and numerous prizes.

Now in its 17th year, Fall Ball provides an excellent networking opportunity for dealers and leading manufacturers. Representatives from JVC, Peerless-AV, ClearView Innovations, Clare Controls, URC and many more received valuable face time with both their existing and potential customer base, and built up the buzz around their brands heading into the holiday selling season.

“The C.E.D. Fall Ball is a great event to meet face-to-face with dealers, and it provides manufactures an opportunity to show dealers new technologies and products,” said Brett Kozlowski, Sales Engineer for URC. “The C.E.D. sales staff are extremely attentive to their customers’ needs and work with them to grow their business and offer new solutions. It is a must attend event for me every year!”

At the Minnesota event, C.E.D. brought in representatives from LG to host multiple training sessions on the latest residential and commercial lines. Attendees of all three events were treated to exclusive sales and inventory opportunities, such as show-only specials on a long list of products. As always, C.E.D. kept the house packed as attendees waited to hear their name called for hundreds of raffle prizes, including the chance to win tickets to Bears, Blackhawks, Wild, Vikings or a Packers game.

After each event, the C.E.D. staff were flooded with positive feedback. “I had the privilege of attending this year’s Fall Ball, which included representatives from many top-brand vendors, providing an unparalleled experience for networking and learning about current and new products in the field of electronics,” said dealer, Bryan Osiecki of Sound and Sight Solutions. “C.E.D. did a phenomenal job at organizing the event, creating a professional, yet very enjoyable and pleasant atmosphere (including great food!). Many thanks to C.E.D. for putting together this experience; I am already looking forward to next year’s event!”

Bridget Blue, VP of Welcome TV Sales & Service also followed up with a written thank you saying, “C.E.D. Fall Ball 2016 gets ‘2 thumbs up’ once again and so does the team. They truly care about my success as a small business and it shows. With continuous top-of-the-line training, C.E.D. is always looking for ways to increase and expand my product line so my family business can stay relevant in these rapidly changing times. Thank you, C.E.D.!”

With record-breaking attendance, multiple new product demonstrations and one-on-one networking time at this year’s Fall Ball events, C.E.D. looks forward to a strong fourth quarter. “We are still on a high from the positive energy at this year’s events,” said Baron. “Our dealers are armed with everything they need for a successful fall selling season, and we look forward to finishing the year strong. We’d like to thank our manufacturer partners, and most of all our dealers for their continued support. We are honored to have such strong partnerships.”
