Comporium’s Arris Media Box Gets Rebranded ‘Moxi Sling`

Suwanee, Ga –July 23, 2014 – ARRIS Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARRS) announced that Comporium will sell the ARRIS MS4000™ under the name “Moxi Sling” to its Whole Home Solution subscribers. This new solution enables Comporium subscribers to access live and recorded content on up to four HD channels in-home, or three in-home and one outside the home, simultaneously.

Comporium subscribers will soon be able to purchase the ARRIS MS4000 from Comporium at any of its retail locations in the Upstate region of South Carolina.

“Our subscribers want to watch their live and recorded content across a variety of mobile devices, inside and outside of the home,” said Matthew Dosch, executive vice president, customer operations and external affairs at Comporium. “The ARRIS MS4000™ is a powerful device that enables us to further drive our TV Everywhere initiatives. Featuring this technology adds significant value to our Moxi Whole Home Solution deployments and directly supports our mission to deliver the very best entertainment experience to our subscribers.”

According to ARRIS’s 2014 Consumer Entertainment Index, 70 percent of U.S./Canadian consumers enjoy streaming content at least once a week, underscoring a significant service provider opportunity to appeal to current customers through new multiscreen streaming experiences.

The ARRIS MS4000 is powered by leading place-shifting technology from Sling Media and is available to all service providers deploying the ARRIS Whole Home Solution. The solution works with the ARRIS Media Gateway Series to give subscribers the ability to watch live and recorded content on tablets, smartphones, and other mobile devices—in the home and on-the-go. The Comporium Moxi Whole Home HD DVR app is available to subscribers with tablets and smartphones running iOS and will be available later on Android.

“By enabling in-home and remote viewing on mobile devices, the ARRIS MS4000 delivers a true multiscreen ‘TV Everywhere’ video experience to subscribers,” said Bruce McClelland, President, Network & Cloud and Global Services, ARRIS.

Working together with ARRIS Whole Home Solution Gateway, and ARRIS Mobile Application, the ARRIS MS4000 offers a simple plug-and-play solution for the service provider.  This simple and flexible implementation embodies ARRIS’s commitment to enabling the multiscreen experience and continuing to expand the Whole Home Solution ecosystem outside the home.
