BenQ Adds Budget-Friendly Projectors to M5 Series

COSTA MESA, Calif. — July 20, 2016 — BenQ America Corp., an internationally renowned provider of visual display solutions and the No. 1-selling projector brand powered by TI DLP(R) technology in The Americas(1), today introduced new additions to its successful M5 Series. Designed for home, business or education, the M5 Series now includes the lightweight MS527E, MX528E and MW529E projectors. These ultra-bright, 3300-lumen projectors feature dual HDMI(R) ports, Colorific(TM) image quality and SmartEco(TM) technology, making them an ideal, cost-effective projector for any entertainment, meeting and teaching space.

The MS527E boasts SVGA (800 x 600) resolution while the MX528E supports XGA (1024 x 768) resolution, and the MW529E extends the quality up to WXGA (1280 x 800). Featuring BenQ’s Colorific technology, these models are optimized to deliver the most accurate color rendition, crisp image details and long-lasting image quality with over 1 billion non-fading colors, thus eliminating both light burn and color degradation over extended usage for reduced total cost of ownership (TCO) over the life of the product. Complementing the color performance is 3300 ANSI lumens of brightness — the brightest output on the market for the price — and a brilliant 13,000:1 contrast ratio. All three projectors feature dual HDMI inputs, ensuring convenient and flexible switching between two inputs, and an upper lamp door for quick and accessible lamp replacement. Each model weighs in at less than five pounds, giving users a portable and easy-to-stow projector option.

“Our latest M5 Series projectors expand on the lineup’s robust and leading-class feature set,” said JY Hu, vice president at BenQ America Corp. “Delivering excellent value and astounding image quality and brightness in one of the smallest weight classes, the new M5 series projectors are engineered with versatility and cost in mind, providing users with all the essential features to meet the demands of any home, office, or classroom budget and at a very low TCO.”

Additionally, the projectors feature BenQ’s world-leading SmartEco technology, which automatically adjusts lamp power to deliver bright, vibrant images with up to 10,000 hours of lamp life as well as energy savings of up to 70 percent without any compromise in picture quality. To further reduce power consumption, an “Eco Blank” mode allows users to blank out the screen whenever projection isn’t needed, while a “No Source Detected” mode automatically reduces power consumption to 30 percent when no source has been detected for more than three minutes. With the “Auto Power Off” function, the projectors automatically shut down when not in use for 30 minutes. When inactive, they keep power consumption to a minimum, <0.5-W standby power, for even more energy savings.

The BenQ M5 Series MS527E, MX528E and MW529E are available now at a retail price of $489, $529 and $749, respectively. More information on the full line of BenQ products is available at www.BenQ.us.
