Barcelona, Spain — Sprint will be the exclusive U.S. outlet for the $399-suggested Harman Kardon Onyx Studio Bluetooth speaker, Harman announced at the Mobile World Congress.
Selling the disc-shaped portable speaker marks the first in a series of initiatives from Sprint this year to step up its audio assortment, Sprint said. The Onyx Studio will be available Feb. 25 for $399 exclusively in Sprint stores, the carrier’s online store, and through Sprint telesales for the speaker's launch, Sprint told TWICE.

New York — Brightstar has signed an agreement with Harman to become the exclusive distributor of the newly designed Harman Kardon Onyx Studio portable Bluetooth wireless speaker to mobile operators and retailers around the world.
Stamford, Conn. – Harman expects to book an additional $100 million in incremental revenue in its fiscal second half because of planned sales of portable speakers through an unnamed mobile telecom partner outside the U.S., the company said during an investor’s conference call.
Harman already sells select audio products through Sprint’s U.S. stores.

The Aura Wireless Omnidirectional Home Audio System, retailing for a suggested $399, can also be used with a Harman Kardon Remote app for iOS and Android mobile devices to stream music stored anywhere on a home network to an Aura speaker anywhere in the house, the company said.

Harman Vehicle Specific Audio Upgrades feature components designed to fit into the original factory location and plug into the existing factory wire harness with no splicing or fabrication. The packages include speakers, enclosed subwoofers, and a digital amplifier acoustically tuned, time-aligned and equalized for specific vehicles.
New York – Harman and future Hall of Fame pitcher Mariano Rivera teamed to help the restoration and renovation of the Iglesia Refugio de Esperanza (“Refuge of Hope”) Church located in New Rochelle, N.Y., during an event at the company’s store in Manhattan on Saturday.
Rivera and his family have made a commitment to restore the church, which holds traditional religious services, and will also offer youth programs and provide food and clothing to the local community.
New York — Harman International will open its first U.S. store on Nov. 22 to demonstrate its home, aftermarket car and pro audio products and sell select home audio gear to consumers.
The two-level, 8,500-square-foot store on Madison Avenue in Manhattan will also serve as “a key showroom and experience center for our channel and technology partners and for our automotive OEM customers to get a full brand experience,” said Michael Mauser, president/executive VP of the Harman lifestyle division.
