Mahwah, N.J. — Marantz plans Aug. 26 shipments of a new stereo integrated amplifier and a CD player, replacing current models and adding upgrades.
The matching models are the $699-suggested PM6005 integrated amplifier and $499 CD6005 hi-fi CD player.
Compared to its predecessor, the M6005 adds digital fiber-optic and coaxial inputs and internal 192kHz/24-bit DAC, whereas its predecessor was an analog-only model. The new version also sports “brushed-up/tuned internal components and signal paths,” said D+M Group product manager Paul Belanger.
Mahwah, N.J. – Marantz launched two networked stereo receivers, the $699-suggested M-CR610 and $599 M-CR510, to replace a current model and expand the selection to two.
The $699 M-CR610 model features an AM/FM tuner, embedded CD player, and four channels of amplification. The $599 model lacks tuner and CD and features two-channel amp.
Mahwah, N.J. – Marantz is bringing DTS Neo:X post processing to its SR series of networked A/V receivers (AVRs) for the first time along with second-zone digital audio, all-zone stereo output, and compatibility with Windows 8 and Windows 8 RT computing devices.
The series also gets its first 9.2-channel AVR and an HDMI video select feature that lets users mix any audio source with any HDMI video source.
Mahwah, N.J. — Marantz is bringing the opening price of networked A/V receivers (AVRs) down to a suggested $499 with the launch of two slim-line AVRs.
The two models are the 5x70-watt NR1504 at a suggested $499 and the 7x70-watt NR1604 at a suggested $649.
Networking and AirPlay previously started at a suggested $649 in Marantz AVRs.

Mahwah, N.J. – Marantz is establishing a new top-end price point in tuner/preamp/surround processors with the shipment of the $3,599-suggested AV8801, which can be paired with the new flagship MM8077 seven-channel power amp at $2,399.
The 11.2-channel component joins the recently shipped $1,699 7.2-channel AV7701 and the $1,599 AV7005 preamp processors in the Marantz lineup of A/V separates and exceeds the price of a previous flagship preamp processor, the $2,999 AV8003, which was discontinued a few years ago, a spokesperson said.
