Dallas — Starpower, a four-store dealer and custom installer of premium and ultra-premium A/V and appliances, will hold its first customer Expo of the year this weekend.
The three-day event, running March 7-9, will again be held at the company’s recently remodeled flagship showroom in North Dallas, where more than 50 manufacturers will demo their wares. Participating CE vendors will include Bose, Epson, JBL, Klipsch, MartinLogan, Polk, Samsung, Sonos and Sony, while majap representatives will include Sub-Zero, Thermador and Viking.
This TWICE webinar, hosted by senior editor Alan Wolf, will take a look at what may be the hottest CE products at retail that will be sold during the all-important fourth quarter. Top technologies, market strategies and industry trends will be discussed with industry analysts and executives.
Dallas – Ed Kellum & Son, the super-premium majap dealer acquired two years ago by Starpower, formally opened the doors to its recently relocated showroom today.
The new Highland Park store integrates luxury appliances with state-of-the-art A/V, and features live, completely outfitted kitchens and interactive media areas modeled after home environments, the company said.
CE brands include Sony, Samsung, Epson, Bose, Paradigm and Sonos, while featured majap brands include Kitchenaid, Whirlpool, Amana, Thermador, Viking, Jenn-Air, Sub-Zero and Wolf.
Dallas — Starpower Home Entertainment Systems is donating $20,000 to the North Texas Food Bank.
The funds were raised at the specialty A/V and appliance chain’s 12th Annual VIP Invitational Golf Tournament, held last month at Gentle Creek Golf Club. Attendees included CE industry execs, sports greats Michael Finley, Mark Aguirre and Tony Dorsett, and honorary guest Daryl “Moose” Johnston, the NFL analyst and former Dallas Cowboys fullback who selected the charity.

The four-store premium A/V and custom-install chain, based here, said it unveiled the very first production models of Sony’s XBR84X900, and sold two of the $25,000 sets during the three-day extravaganza.
