Phoenix — Starpower Home Entertainment Systems has again been named No. 1 in Ranking Arizona’s rankings of Arizona businesses for the year 2013.

Ranking Arizona is the outcome of the largest business opinion poll in Arizona. Each category is selected by the staff of AZ Big Media for the general public to vote on and is based upon business and leisure activities of Arizona's business professionals.

Dallas – Starpower, the premium A/V and custom install chain, will relocate its Ed Kellum & Son luxury majap showroom to a former Modia Home Theater store.

Starpower chairman Daniel Pidgeon described the location as highly desirable despite its proximity to Ed Kellum’s current Knox-area store and its nearly one-third smaller footprint.

Orlando, Fla. — David Pidgeon, president/CEO of Starpower, in his role as president of Home Entertainment Source (HES), outlined new media strategies to follow in his keynote at the group’s spring Summit, which opened at the Orlando World Center Resort here yesterday.

Pidgeon outlined the strength of HES, noting that the group goes “from Alaska to New Jersey” and that the organization knows its members have to “evolve your businesses during trying times.”

North Dallas, Texas — Starpower Home Entertainment Systems wowed crowds with the Dallas market debut of Sony’s 84-inch “4K Ultra High-Definition” TV at its Expo customer event last weekend.

The four-store premium A/V and custom-install chain, based here, said it unveiled the very first production models of Sony’s XBR84X900, and sold two of the $25,000 sets during the three-day extravaganza.
