Awards bestowed by the education/buying group for integrators and custom retailers included:
* The Golden Goose Award, for most profitable vendor for the fourth quarter of 2012, given to Integra and accepted by sales director Keith Haas;
*The Highest Vendor Sales Award, given to Sonance and accepted by specification sales director Chet Flynn;
When you’ve had the same job for a long time, there’s a tendency to stick to what you know or fall too easily into a predictable formula. For Azione Unlimited president Richard Glikes, however, starting a new buying group after serving as the leader of another one for so many years is a chance to improve on the past, rather than returning to an old routine.
Chester Springs, Pa. — Azione Unlimited (AU), the buying and educational group for integrators and custom retailers, added 14 dealer members to its ranks during the first quarter.
The new additions, described as high-end integrators, bring AU’s total dealer member count to 67.
AU president Richard Glikes attributed the young group’s growth to a focused and installer-friendly vendor lineup, free conferences and educational interaction, and a dues structure that delivers the best value.

Simply reliable will supply business automation software, including its Smartoffice application, to Azione's member dealers.

Twelve months after launching its first recruitment drive, the group, led by founder and CE veteran Richard Glikes, had completed what he described as “a focused vendor lineup” consisting of 32 manufacturer members, including such names as Harman, Integra, Samsung, Sonance and Stewart Filmscreen.
West Chester, Pa. — Azione Unlimited, the education/buying group for integrators and custom retailers, will hold its spring meeting April 10-12 at the Hyatt Regency in St. Louis.
The three-day event, dubbed “The Confluence Conference,” will bring together dealers, vendor members and the business press to share ideas in open discussions, roundtables, panel discussions and one-on ones meetings. The goal, said president and chief creative officer Richard Glikes, is to make friends, develop partnerships, share ideas and have fun.
