Winston-Salem, N.C. — The Nationwide Marketing Group has introduced a video-based sales training program to help its independent dealer members engage and close today’s web- and mobile-savvy shoppers.
Winston-Salem, N.C. – An in-house video used as a rallying cry for members at its recent PrimeTime! meeting has been released by the Nationwide Marketing Group (NMG) for use as a TV commercial.
The ad, like the original video presentation, highlights the advantages of independent dealers over the big-box shopping experience.
The video, “The Independent Resurgence,” was re-edited by popular demand into 30- and 60-second spots that can be customized to reflect each member’s store name, local marketplace and vendor partners.
Clarksville, Ga. – Dean Hanby has been named VP of Nationwide East, a regional division of Nationwide Marketing group.
He replaces Howard Khouri, who previously held this role, is retiring this month.
“Howard has been an integral player to the growth and success of Nationwide East and he will be missed dearly,” said Dave Robison, director of Nationwide East. “I am confident Dean is the ideal leader to fulfill this role and am excited about some of the new initiatives he will lead in the future.”

Las Vegas — The Nationwide Marketing Group is evolving its merchandise mix and back-office operations and is encouraging its membership to do likewise.
That was the main message at the group’s biannual PrimeTime! meeting and convention, held here this week at the Venetian and Sands Expo under the banner “Blueprint for Success.”

The event, which runs here through March 6 at The Venetian, is expected to be the organization’s largest gathering ever with the addition of concurrent conclaves by its $2 billion Cantrex Canadian division, and its NECO confederation of Northeastern dealers.

The gains were greater than anticipated given the slow economic recovery, Nationwide said, and the group is now forecasting strong growth for 2013.
