The 1 Nikkor 32mm f/1.2, which is shipping in June in a choice of black or silver at a $900 suggested retail, was originally introduced as a development lens in October 2012. As a regular line introduction, the lens stands as “the fastest ever in the growing 1 Nikkor line,” Nikon said.
Tokyo — Nikon reported that net sales rose, but net and operating profits were down by double digits for its fiscal year, ended March 31.
Nikon said in its imaging products business, the interchangeable-lens market climate “took a sharp turn for the worse from the middle of the third quarter. Additionally, the compact digital camera market continued to shrink.” Sales for its precision equipment instruments business were also off.

The models include the Coolpix A DX format super telephoto with a $1,100 suggested retail, the Coolpix P330 compact bridge style camera at a suggested $330, and the S3500 at $140. All three ship in March.

The camera will go on sale in March carrying a $1,199 suggested retail price for the body only and $1,599 for the camera and 18-105mm DX VR kit lens.
Nikon’s D7100 offers pro-level durability features including weather sealing, a magnesium alloy body and a 150,000 cycle rated shutter.
