Arlington, Va. - The Consumer Electronics Association’s (CEA) Innovation Policy Summit at the 2013 International CES will feature panels with top government officials and execs from startups and established CE companies.
CES, owned and produced by CEA, to be held January 8-11, 2013 in Las Vegas, will features speakers from the U.S. Congress, Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Google and Verizon as well as the Chairman and all four Commissioners from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
Arlington, Va. – Bring your walking shoes to the 2013 International CES because it will have a record amount of exhibit space - more than 1.87 million net square feet - according to the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), owner and producer of the show.
The previous record was this year’s 1.862 million net square feet. CEA said.
The show will be held from Jan. 8 to Jan. 11 in Las Vegas.
Washington — The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) and the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) are promoting an effort to make set top boxes more energy efficient.
The organizations have teamed up to promote the efforts of 15 multichannel video service providers and affiliated equipment manufacturers that are getting behind a voluntary and pro-active Set-Top Box Energy Conservation Agreement (STBECA), expected to save as many as 90 million U.S. households a total of $1.5 billion or more in annual residential electricity savings.
Arlington, Va. — More than half (55 percent) of U.S. online consumers used a fitness technology in the past year, and more than one-third (37 percent) anticipate purchasing a fitness technology in the next 12 months, according to new research by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA).
The report, “Getting Connected with Emerging Fitness Technologies,” shows the number of consumers who used a fitness technology in the past year increased 8 percent from 2010. Results from the study were released today at the mHealth Summit in Washington.

Arlington, Va. — Consumer confidence in technology inched higher in November, while confidence in the overall economy sunk to the lowest level of 2012, according to the latest index released today by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA).
The CEA Index of Consumer Technology Expectations (ICTE), which measures consumer expectations about technology spending, rose by 0.3 points, reaching 88 in November.
