London – Days after its New York media event the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) went on the road to give further details about the 2013 International CES and announced high-profile speakers for its SuperSession program, here.

Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Julius Genachowski, Ericsson president/CEO Hans Vestberg and the Huffington Post’s Arianna Huffington are among the headlines to appear at CES, scheduled for Jan. 8-11, 2013 in Las Vegas.

New York — The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) announced the International CES Best of Innovations 2013 Design and Engineering Award honorees during its annual press preview, here, Monday.

The CES Innovations Awards honor outstanding design and engineering advancements across 29 consumer electronics product categories, including two new trend-focused categories: Accessible & Universal Design Technologies and Tech for a Better World.

New York – The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) officially began the promotional countdown for the 2013 International CES in January with its traditional press event, here, at the Metropolitan Pavilion Monday.

Karen Chupka, events and conferences senior VP for the CEA, said the 2013 show — to be held in Las Vegas Jan. 8-11 — is expected to draw 150,000 attendees from 150 countries (35,000 international attendees included), 3,000 exhibitors and approximately 1.8 million square feet of exhibit space, matching this year’s record attendance.

Arlington, Va. — The Venetian will be a key venue for the 2013 International CES, spotlighting emerging technologies, high-performance audio, lifestyle electronics and green initiatives during the Jan. 8-11 event in Las Vegas.

The Venetian, the second largest CES venue, spans nearly 400,000 square feet and will host more than 10 product categories and nine TechZones. The Venetian’s CES show floor includes exhibit space, suites, meeting rooms, keynotes and Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) member services.

Detroit — The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) said a record number of automotive manufacturers will exhibit at the 2013 International  CES.

Seven manufacturers will showcase their latest technologies on the show floor: Audi, Chrysler, Ford, General Motors, Hyundai, Kia and Subaru. This will be Subaru’s first time exhibiting at the show, which will be held Jan. 8-11, 2013, in Las Vegas.
