Washington — The Consumer Electronics Association’s (CEA) annual Digital Patriots dinner may have been held at the nation’s capital Wednesday night and honored a U.S. Senator and two members of the House of Representatives, but it was the fourth award winner, industry veteran Joe Clayton, who stole the show.
Arlington, Va. – Installations of various technologies in new homes in 2012 reached or exceeded 2008 levels, indicating that the market for built-in home technologies “is well on the road to recovery,” CEA concluded in its 11th Annual State of the Builder Technology Market Study.
Overall growth of the home technology market remained consistent from 2011 to 2012, CEA added.

CEA said both indexes saw increases after two consecutive months of declines, but both remain below March 2012 levels.
The CEA Index of Consumer Expectations (ICE), which measures consumer expectations about the broader economy, rose 4.2 points in March to 169.5. This month’s ICE is 4.1 points lower than March of last year.

Chester Springs, Pa. — Azione Unlimited, the educational and buying group for custom retailers and integrators, has bestowed its fourth ever Golden Goose Award to Integra.
The quarterly recognition is given to the Azione vendor member that provides the most profit to the group’s dealers during that period.
Integra’s award covers the fourth quarter of 2012.
