Griffin Technology used Macworld, held here earlier this month, to launch a variety of new CE accessories, as well as enter the Bluetooth headset category. The company also used the show to introduced updates for some of its preexisting products.

BlueAnt Wireless recently released its Z9 Bluetooth headset.

The Z9 features the company's voice-isolation technology that is designed to separate the voice signal from all background noise, "enhancing and isolating all frequencies that affect voices coming in to and out of the headset and resulting in noise suppression, wind noise reduction and echo cancellation," said the company in a release.

Audiovox Accessories has introduced an Acoustic Research-branded Bluetooth headset with a MEMS display, developed by Qualcomm, to allow users to view incoming information such as caller ID, song titles, battery level and volume control in all viewing environments, including bright sunlight.

Samsung Telecommunications America announced the availability of three noise-canceling Bluetooth headsets.

At the top of the good/better/best line, Samsung's WEP870 combines a noise-canceling Bluetooth mono headset with hi-fi music streaming to premium stereo ear buds. The WEP870 can be worn on either ear to facilitate calls or listen to music through its earpiece, but also includes a stereo ear bud lanyard that can be attached to the headset and worn around the user's neck.

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — BlueFox announced late last month that it has begun shipping its Extreme Bluetooth headset. The voice-controlled headset, which was initially announced at the 2009 International CES, features the company’s proprietary Max 4x noise-canceling technology as well as Microsoft’s Bing search capability.

Features include eight hours of talktime and 250 hours of standby. Suggested retail is $99.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CALIF. — Sound ID unveiled its app-enhanced 510 Bluetooth headset, which became available through AT&T stores on June 6.

The Works With iPhone-certified 510 is optimized for Sound ID’s new Earprint iPhone app. The app, available free from the iTunes App Store, enables iPhone users to customize sound settings to their own hearing preferences and control sound quality on both sides of the call.

CLEARWATER, FLA. — iSimple launched its HedFX line of ear buds and headsets late last month with the introduction of the ISHP3502, a Bluetooth stereo headset kit with A2DP audio streaming and hands-free calling capabilities.

The main component of the HedFX Bluetooth stereo headset kit ($89.95) is a black module meant to clips onto the user’s collar. Features include a multifunction interface, an OLED display screen, a windproof microphone and a 3.5mm audio jack.

DALLAS — Samsung Telecommunications America has added three Bluetooth headsets to its portfolio, including its second advanced-feature Modus model.

The new Modus 6450 is a dual-stereo noise-canceling model that can be worn as a mono-style headset for placing and receiving calls, and can be converted to a stereo Bluetooth headset when connected to the included stereo ear bud headset.
