NEW YORK — There are a lot of players in the gaming market (all puns intended), and many of them are content with making cheap products, slapping licensing logos on them, and then upping the price, Nyko CEO Herschel Naghi said.

The gaming accessory manufacturer announced at International CES in January that it was moving in to the licensing arena, and its CEO recently corresponded with TWICE about the crowded market and how it plans to stand out with this new strategy.

Satechi Ships iBase Speaker Dock

SAN DIEGO — Satechi said it has begun shipping its Divoom iBase speaker and dock station for use with the iPod, iPhone or iPad.

The round speaker features four fullrange neodymium dynamic 2.5-inch drivers and a vertical support to keep the device in place while it charges. It measures 6.25 by 6.25 by 2.1 inches and weighs 20.6 ounces.

NEWARK, CALIF. — Logitech International attempted to right its year of financial woes, announcing that the company has eliminated two executive management positions as part of its transformation strategy, which includes workforce reductions.

The company also reported that its sales for the fiscal fourth quarter were down 3 percent.

Genius Introduces 120-Degree Webcam

TAIPEI, TAIWAN —
Genius introduced what it’s calling the first 120-degree ultrawide- angle 1080p webcam.

The WideCam F100 features a manual focus lens, built-in microphone, the ability to take 12-megapixel photos, and a base that rotates a full 360 degrees. It comes with a 10-foot USB extension cable software that allows photos to be sent directly to social-media sites.

The WideCam F100 is currently available for a $59.99 suggested retail.
