New York — Monster Watts today announced a line of wireless chargers for the Samsung Galaxy S III.
Three SKUs are being offered. The Stealth features a charging pad and a small wireless receiver that fits under the phone's existing back cover. It retails for $68.
The second model, the Simple, features a pad and a thin replacement back cover with a receiver embedded that adds only about 1mm of thickness. It retails for $98.

Arlington, Va. — The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) has published a new standard for energy management to help make homes smart-grid ready and allow smart appliances and home-systems components to communicate.
The new American National Standard, ANSI/CEA-2045, Modular Communications Interface (MCI) for Energy Management, specifies an interface for energy-management signals and messages exchanged among devices in a home and the smart-grid system.
Auburn Hills, Mich. - Digital Treasures has introduced the PowerFlask, a portable charger for simultaneous charging of up to three devices.
The charger, shaped like a traditional liquor flask, has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that delivers 13,000 mAh to two USB ports, enough to charge two iPads and an iPhone simultaneously, for instance. It includes two 30-pin Apple connectors, a USB-to-Micro-USB charging cable, a USB-to-Dual-Micro-USB charging cable, and a USB power adapter.
Murrieta, Calf. – Luggage supplier ECBC has introduced a collection of rolling luggage that includes rechargeable battery packs to charge devices while stowed inside.
Three new models are all TSA compliant with high-density foam compartments for a 15-inch or smaller laptop, a full-size tablet, a mini tablet and power cords.
Models include the Sparrow, a 22-inch rolling garment carry-on bag, the 22-inch, 26-inch and 30-inch Falcon rolling duffle, and the Pegasus rolling backpack carry-on.
Oxnard, Calif. – Scosche Industries has begun shipping wall and car chargers with the new Apple Lightning connector as well as a retractable Lightning accessory cable.
Scosche's StrikeBase wall charger comes in 5-watt and 12-watt models with a 3-foot long cable and flush folding outlet prongs on a low-profile plug. The 5-watt model is recommended for iPhones and iPods, the 12-watt for iPads, but Scosche said the higher watt model's extra power will not damage lower wattage iOS devices. They retail for @29.99 and $34.99 respectively.
Foothill Ranch, Calif. – Iogear today expanded its Gearpower family to include the new Ultra Capacity Mobile Power Station, a portable charging device designed to simultaneously charge a tablet and another handheld device when an A/C outlet is not available.
New York — The Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) has approved a series of guidelines for Qi wireless chargers intended for the automotive aftermarket.
Products meeting the new guidelines will be able to include the description, “Meets Qi Automotive Aftermarket Guidelines,” and display the Qi logo.
New York — Bestek is introducing next week its Wall Charging Station, an all-in-one charging solution that includes an iPhone/iPod dock, four USB ports, six AC outlets and an LED nightlight.
The charger plugs directly into an AC outlet, resting flush against the wall.
