Sanus Systems is now shipping two new VisionMount desk mounts for medium flat-panel computer monitors and TVs.

The MD103 and MD115 mounts offer tilt, swivel, roll and extend motions and attach to a desk or other flat surface, such as a kitchen countertop.

Both mounts feature Sanus' Virtual Axis 3D technology for tilt, swivel and 180-degree roll.

A new security device from Premier Mounts, called PaneLock, is said to prevent the removal of an LCD or plasma television from its mounting plate. The integrated theft-resistant clips latch the mounting bracket arms to the rod on the wall plate, and a security screw then locks the pieces in place.

Monster has formed a strategic partnership with ultrawideband technology (UWB) provider Tzero to develop flat-panel TV installation solutions incorporating wireless high-definition video distribution.

Peerless Industries last month debuted what the company is calling "the world's thinnest mount." The ultra-thin Slimline universal mounting solution positions a flat-panel screen 0.4 inches from the wall.

Artison has made available its Universal Mounting Bracket (UMB) which provides an alternative to wall-mounted speakers. The product is designed to work exclusively with the company's own-branded LCR loudspeakers.

According to the company, the bracket allows users to attach Artison speakers directly to most flat-panel monitors so that the result is a seamless look where the speakers match the height of the monitor.
