Sanus Ships Basic A/V Additions

St. Paul, Minn. — Sanus announced it has begun shipping two pieces in its Basic series of furniture.

The pieces, shown at International CES in January along with the company’s other new items, include the three-shelf BFV357 and five-shelf BFV353 audio/video stands. The former features tempered glass on a powder-coated steel frame, while the latter has a gunmetal finish and comes with a media-storage basket.

 

Premier Debuts Mount Cart For XL Displays

Fullerton, Calif. — Premier Mounts has introduced a mounting cart with an included 360-degree rotating AM500 mega mount for extra-large displays 103 inches and larger and weighing up to 500 pounds.

Premier plans to showcase the new PMC-MM-502 mobile mounting system at the Digital Signage Expo (DSE) in Las Vegas later this month, where it will mount a 103-inch Panasonic display to show off the mount's ability to go from landscape to portrait orientation or lock in at any angle the user chooses. The mount also features positive and negative tilt adjustment.

Bell'O Moves Into Bedding

Morganville, N.J.  — Capitalizing on a recent retailing trend, CE accessory manufacturer Bell’O announced it was teaming with mattress maker Sealy for a line of co-branded metal beds.

The Serta Bed Collection by Bell’O will be sold in a variety of styles, with most featuring Bell’O’s No Tools Assembly design.

A/V Furniture, Mounts Get Rolled Out At International CES

LAS VEGAS — A/V furniture and mounts will be a popular category at this year’s International CES, with new product introductions from many of the top manufacturers. Among those debuting new models will be Bell’O International, Sanus, OmniMount and VMP.

Bell’O is introducing ultra-thin, flexible HDMI cables as well as new A/V furniture for flat-panel TVs.

New Tablet Holders, Mounts Stress Versatility

NEW YORK — In response to the largest growth quarter for tablet sales yet, and the growing influx of tablets to the enterprise market, solutions for holding, mounting and moving tablets from space to space are becoming a go-to add-on sale for retailers.

Vogel’s has added the Flex mount to its RingO universal tablet mounting system. The wall mount is Vogel’s first with fully adjustable swivel and tilt functionality, and folds back discretely less than 1 inch from a wall.

Barkan Bows LCD Mounts

Barkan Mounts introduced two wall mounts that will be available in the summer.

The 33E is designed to work with LCD TVs measuring up to 42 inches and weighing up to 66 pounds. It features the company's “Butterfly Connection” and can reportedly integrate with the rear side design of slim and ultra-slim LCD screens.

Its minimum distance from the wall is listed as 3.5 inches with a maximum distance from wall listed at 8.25 inches. Three electronic movements are possible: rotate, swivel and tilt.

Sanus Shipping Two Stud-Free Flat-Panel Mounts

ST. PAUL, MINN. —Sanus Systems announced it is now shipping the Foundations Floor Stand series FS56 and FS46 mounts that allow flat-panel TVs to be mounted to a wall without requiring wood wall studs.

The Floor Stands include a tilting mount with Virtual Axis tilting technology for supporting 32-inch to 56-inch TVs up to 150 pounds (model FS56) or 26-inch to 46-inch TVs up to 100 pounds (model FS46). They install by anchoring directly into sheetrock with two steel legs that evenly distribute the weight of the TV.

OmniMount Shipping Low-Profile LED Series Mounts

New York — OmniMount came to Manhattan last week to display its new LED series of slim-profile mounting solutions to the press.

The three mounts in the line are built from aircraftgrade cables and aluminum alloy and feature extremely thin profiles.

Two of the mounts feature the company’s proprietary Suspension System technology which secures a panel via a cable suspension similar to the way a painting hangs on a wall.

Furniture, Mounts Take Center Stage For CEDIA Accessories

INDIANAPOLIS — With all the TVs, A/V receivers and speakers planned to debut at the CEDIA Expo this week, mount and furniture manufacturers know that consumers are going to need some way to house and display them.

Chief will use CEDIA to show off its recently announced additions to its Raxxess series of A/V rack systems: the G1 series gangable rack and the W1 and W2 series on-wall racks.
