JBL and Roxy recently introduced a line of co-created portable audio products, this time targeted toward the youth market.

Roxy is a brand of Quicksilver.

The companies said the products are designed for the “surf and mountain casual lifestyle.” There headphones models are part of the line: the Reference 230 ear buds, Reference 430 on-ear DJ-style headphones, and Reference 250 in-ear headphones with microphone for use with mobile phones.

Monster updated its in-ear headphones last week with the introduction of the Turbine Pro.

Billed as high-performance headphones that deliver reference-quality sound, the Turbine Pros feature the company's SuperTip ear tips for noise isolation.

The SuperTips come in two sizes (small and large) with the headphones, along with Monster's traditional ear tips in three sizes and two sets of triple-layered ear tips.

Audio-Technica introduced its ATH-ANC7b noise-canceling headphones this month.

The over-the-ear headphones feature Quiet Point active noise-canceling technology, which detects environmental noise via miniature microphones in each earpiece, and applies a corresponding sound-cancelling signal to block 90 percent of outside noise, according to the company.

Skullcandy said it would be teaming up with the National Basketball Association for a line of player-branded headphones.

Six NBA players — Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, Derrick Rose, Kevin Garnett, Dwight Howard and LeBron James — will be highlighted on the headphones, which all feature official team and NBA logos, integrated jersey mesh, and embroidered player names and numbers.

Audio Technology launched a variety of Sylvania-branded headphones and earphones this month.

Three products were announced: two sets of headphones and one set of earphones.

The SYL-NCE745 noise-canceling earphones feature "professional sound quality," according to the company, and they are designed to enhance audio in noisy environments. They come with a storage pouch, airline adapter plug, neck strap and one AAA battery for $59.99.

Genius announced noise-canceling headphones at a $49.99 price point last week.

The GHP-04NC headphones, currently available, are based on the “superposition principle,” the company said. They feature an inverted version of the noise signal to cancel outside noise when two identical sound waves combine. “This result is destructive interference, the most effective way to cancel noise from low-frequency sources,” said Genius.
