Denver — Archos, a multimedia portable devices manufacturer, announced it has signed an exclusive distribution partnership with Wynit, a national distributor of digital imaging, technical graphics and consumer electronics.
Wynit will make the entire product line available to North American consumers through a variety of national retailers, e-tailers and small independent stores, Archos said.
St. James, N.Y. – Global Warranty Group (GWG) has entered into an agreement with SeniorTech to include its signature Wireless Protection Program with every activation of the vendor’s prepaid Snapfon cell phone for seniors.
GWG’s program offers comprehensive coverage, including lost, stolen, broken, accidental and liquid damage, for various types of wireless devices.
Charleston, S.C. – Walmart had the highest level of customer retention over the holidays while Barnes & Noble had the worst, a new retail survey shows.
According to a poll of 1,000 shoppers conducted Dec. 22-23 by America’s Research Group (ARG), Walmart retained 93 percent of its customer base while Barnes & Noble lost nearly 48 percent of its customers.
San Francisco – SquareTrade, a direct seller of competitively priced extended service contracts, has hired former Expedia.com chief financial officer Michael Adler to serve in the same role.
The company has also named Dina Furash as strategic partnerships senior VP.
Both appointments are effective immediately.
In his new post, Adler is responsible for SquareTrade’s global finance functions including financial planning and analysis, accounting, tax, and treasury.
