Warrantech will also provide coverage on used CE products, and thereby support CE product re-use, through a new relationship with Second Rotation … Bankers Warranty Group has completed the opening of its new corporate headquarters and customer call center in St. Petersburg, Fla. The expansion includes investments in new technology and infrastructure that will allow the company “to continue to deliver a high-quality service experience to our customers,” said president/CEO Kevin Rupkey ... Service Net has entered into new agreements with DirectBuy, Sears Canada, and Bass Pro Shops Canada, and renewed contracts with Dell, Sony and Newegg. The company is also providing discrete on-site and remote services for clients' non-ESP customers. Additionally, two GE veterans from have joined Service Net: Greg Leonberger, former director of CE and water services, and Bruce Manning, formerly national sales manager of GE Warranty Management ... Assurant is on track to close the previously announced acquisitions: Signal Holdings and GE's warranty management group business. Signal will give Assurant “complete control of the wireless handset value chain, from product development right up the line to service delivery,” said senior VP/general manager Keith Meier, while the GE deal will take that unit's client relationships “to the next level.” About 55 GE employees will join Assurant, Meier said … NEW reported it is enjoying a “positive reception” from consumers, retailers and the media to its ecoNEW recycling and trade-in program, first announced at International CES 2007, which provides for the safe disposal of unwanted CE products. The plan is currently being offered through the Navy Exchange (NEXCOM), Office Depot and Sam's Club and will be rolled out to more retailers this fall.
