Farmingdale, N.Y. — P.C. Richard & Son, the nation's largest independently owned CE and appliance chain, is celebrating its 99th anniversary this year.
To help mark the occasion, The Daily News, the New York metro area newspaper, presented the company with a birthday cake at its corporate headquarters here last week.
More recently, Peter's great-grandson, current president Gregg Richard, was chosen to receive the Anti-Defamation League's (ADL's) American Heritage Award at the annual National Consumer Technology Industry Awards Tribute and Dinner Dance, to be held Nov. 15 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Manhattan. Gregg was selected for his “involvement and giving back to the community,” the ADL said.
