Newegg.com Adds T-Mobile Service

IT and CE specialty e-tailer Newegg.com has added T-Mobile USA to its growing wireless business, joining AT&T.

“This joint endeavor is a tremendous new opportunity for the two companies and an integral part of our efforts to expand our wireless service offerings,” said Lawrence Jackowski, product management director of Newegg’s wireless division. “We see Newegg’s alliance with T-Mobile as a great accomplishment for our young wireless division.”

Newegg is initially offering six T-Mobile wireless devices from BlackBerry, HTC and Samsung, along with a variety of calling plans and service features.

“We are very excited to welcome Newegg as our newest online authorized dealer,” said Jeff Pierce, online partners senior account manager at T-Mobile. “Newegg’s values create a great synergy with T-Mobile, and we look forward to helping their customers better connect with the people who matter most in their lives.”

Newegg bills itself as the second-largest Internet-only retailer in the United States, with more than 8.7 million registered users and $1.9 billion in revenue. The seven-year-old business has recently been moving aggressively beyond its traditional IT roots into the CE and wireless communications markets.
