MEGA Group USA is rolling out a new marketing campaign to promote sales of extended service plans (ESPs).
The campaign, dubbed “We Gotcha Covered,” features signature red and blue umbrellas with the campaign's slogan that can be hung from various points around dealers' stores to generate customer interest. The concept was conceived by MEGA member Gary Martin of Martin Appliance Center in Gainesville, Fla., and thousands of the embossed umbrellas have since been distributed. The group has also distributed new and refreshed point-of-sale materials to compliment the umbrellas and generate further awareness of product protection plans for both customers and sales staff, said Mallory Parker, business services manager.
As an incentive, a Cadillac CTS will be given to a participating protection plan dealer during the group's fall buying show at Disney World's Coronado Springs Resort, held Sept. 21-24. The prize is co-sponsored by Warranty Corp. of America (WaCA), MEGA's ESP administrator; insurer AIG Warranty Services; and GE Finance Fleet leasing.
