Ingram Micro To Manage BrandSource Fulfillment

ANAHEIM, CALIF. —

BrandSource
has outsourced its Expert Warehouse
fulfillment program to distribution powerhouse
Ingram Micro.

The change was made in advance of
this month’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing
by the buying group’s former distribution
partner Archbrook Laguna.

Expert Warehouse, the group’s sixyear-
old buying, fulfillment and logistics
program, allows member dealers to purchase
small, mixed-freight shipments of
a wide variety of A/V and, increasingly,
majap brands at competitive prices.

In making the change, BrandSource
cited Ingram Micro’s “greater operational
efficiencies and logistics expertise,”
as well as increased warehouse
inventory levels, competitive pricing and
greater expansion into new and existing
categories.

“This new alliance with Ingram Micro
allows us to greatly improve the
business value, buying power and services
we provide to our members and
increase their ability to compete in the
marketplace,” said BrandSource CEO
Bob Lawrence. “Together with Ingram
Micro we will pioneer a new era of efficiency
and value for the appliance and
CE industries and bring to market a
broader portfolio of brand names.”

Ingram Micro operates 100 warehouses
and supplies 185,000 customers
across the globe. It provides CE to
North American clients through its consumer
electronics division, which is built
upon its AVAD and DBL acquisitions.
