INDIANAPOLIS — Brightpoint, a subsidiary of Brightpoint North America L.P., has extended its preferred supplier agreement with Associated Carrier Group (ACG) through March 2012.
Brightpoint will continue to be the primary supplier of wireless devices from leading wireless handset and device manufacturers and provide additional services related to product development and management to ACG, the distributor said. Brightpoint will also continue to provide related integrated logistics services to ACG and its participating members.
PHILADELPHIA — Almo has set Consumer Electronics & Appliance Expo schedule for the year, starting here May 5-6.
These regional expositions feature new products, access to free manufacturer training sessions, “door-buster show specials,” and one-on-one meetings as well as peer networking events, the distributor said.
The rest of the schedule is as follows: Verona, N.Y., Aug. 10-11; St. Paul, Minn., Aug. 13; Cincinnati, Aug. 19-20; and St. Charles, Mo., Sept. 14-15.
HARRISBURG, PA. — D&H Distributing has signed an agreement with Toshiba’s Digital Products Division to distribute its Satellite and Qosimo lapops.
The agreement allows D&H’s base of existing retail and e-tail customers to expand their supplier relationships into the consumer laptop space. These include a wide group of local retailers and recognized online merchants, the distributor said. The agreement also covers Toshiba’s complete line of laptop accessories, mobile projectors for on-the-go presentations and external USB 2.0 hard drives.
EDMOND, OKLA. — Petra Industries has signed distribution agreements with ADCOM and Python.
Petra has agreed to carry home theater electronics maker ADCOM’s line of 20 new high-end amps and receivers, a high-performance DVD player with HD up-conversion and a series of rack mounts. The line, which will come out with three- and five-year warranties, is featured in a new custom sales flier and in Petra’s Spring 2009 catalog, to be distributed in May.
Petra’s Python lineup features 13 security and remote-start products, including the new Responder HD, Python’s top-end remote start and keyless entry with a 1-mile range. Python is owned by Directed Electronics.
Petra’s inventory of Python products will be featured in Petra’s 12-Volt flyer, mailing now, and in the distributor’s spring catalog.
