Attention Kmart Shoppers

NEW YORK — The blue light is back at Kmart, which unveiled a revamped BlueLight Special campaign earlier this month. Chairman/CEO Charles Conaway joined Kmart’s private label ladies Martha Stewart and actors/models Jaclyn Smith and Kathy Ireland at a relaunch event here marking the return of an American icon. The BlueLight Special is a major marketing initiative for Conaway and the struggling mass merchant that’s designed to create in-store excitement, reward loyal customers and attract new shoppers.
