BrandSource Debuts Video Content Service

BrandSource, the $14 billion buying group, is rolling out AVB/TV, a new streaming video service first announced at its annual summer convention last month. Akin to a long-running video production program at rival Nationwide Marketing Group, AVB/TV will provide member dealers with high-definition webisodes, mini documentaries, and other video content to help engage customers both online and in stores.

For showrooms, the content is distributed by a low-cost Apple TV set-top box to an unlimited number of TV displays for a flat, low monthly fee. (Attendees at the August convention received complimentary Apple TVs.)

Nationwide Launches Financial Training Series

The Nationwide Marketing Group has developed a new financial training program to bring member dealers up to speed on retail payment. Dubbed “Dollars & Sense: The Definitive Guide to Payments and Retail Credit,” the online series is comprised of 16 in-depth training modules covering everything from cash, checks, and credit and debit cards, to touchless payments and all aspects of retail credit and financing.

The program includes insights from Nationwide member service partners including Synchrony Financial, and training modules are scheduled for release through the fall and winter, the group said. For more information, visit NationwideGroup.org.

Change Of Venue For Azione Fall Conference

Azione Unlimited’s fall conference has a new home in Las Vegas. Originally booked at the Monte Carlo Resort, where ongoing renovations are proving problematic, the buying group’s semiannual event is moving to that town’s New York-New York Hotel and Casino.

The dates of the conference remain Oct. 18-20.

Over the course of the three days, some 250 attendees will be treated to dealer presentations, dealer/vendor one-on-ones, roundtable discussions and guest-speaker keynotes on a wide range of topics.

Panelists and presenters will include Vin Bruno of CEDIA, Frank Sterns of Sony, William Lynch from Savant, Hagai Feiner of Access Networks, BDX’s Tim Costello, and Brad Stanek, with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management.
