Seattle – Amazon.com reported double-digit sales and earnings gains for the first three months of the year, but forecast a steep loss for the current quarter.

Anaheim, Calif. – LifeTech Brands will bring the XDream brand of portable speakers and external power banks to the U.S. market on an exclusive basis through its network of retailers and distributors, the company announced.

Indianapolis — hhgregg said extreme winter weather contributed to a projected net loss for its fiscal fourth quarter and a 9.9 percent decline in net and comp-store sales.
Taoyuan, Taiwan – HTC posted a double-digit revenue decline and a net loss in the first quarter.
Fremont, Calif. – Synnex, parent of IT and CE distributor New Age Electronics, reported double-digit sales and earnings gains during its first fiscal quarter.
Waterloo, Ontario — BlackBerry reported higher year-on-year fourth quarter net and operating losses.
Grapevine, Texas – GameStop said the holiday launches of Xbox One and PlayStation 4 drove higher sales and comps in the fourth quarter.
The Woodlands, Texas — Strong sales across all product categories sent profits and revenue soaring for the fourth quarter and full year at Conn’s.
Framingham, Mass. — Staples, in a financial report showing higher profits for its fiscal fourth quarter, said it will close up to 225 stores by 2015 as more than half its sales are now generated online.

Chicago — Google promoted Rick Osterloh to president/COO of Motorola Mobility.
