Miele Intros Combo Steam, Convection Oven
PRINCETON, N.J. – German premium appliance manufacturer Miele introduced a combination steam and convection oven at last month’s Architectural Digest Show in New York. The Combi-Steam oven, model number DGC 4084/4086 XL, features a “clean-touch steel” finish that resists fingerprints and smudges; more than 100 automated cooking programs; and is available in Miele’s Classic and Europa series. “We’ve combined true European convection technology which offers the best cooking environment for roasting and baking with our unique external steam generator to create an all-in-one-oven that provides the consummate cooking fusion,” said Miele product manager Kathrin Pfeifer. The oven requires a 240-volt line and carries a $3,695 sticker.
Haier Updates Dehumidifier Line
NEW YORK — Haier America is launching its 2013 dehumidifier line. Key features for the new model year include a digital humidistat for adjusting humidity levels; Smart Dry automatic fan speed adjustment; a large, front-access bucket with convenient carrying handle; and alerts for full buckets and filter checks. Packaging for the largely Energy Star-qualified line will carry detailed product information to help shoppers choose the appropriate model, as well as a QR code that takes users to Haier’s online InfoHub for more details.
“We continue to make the customer experience a priority for both our dehumidifiers and the marketing strategy for the products,” said Haier air conditioning group VP Tom Kelly. “Features like smart dry, alerts and digital controls make Haier dehumidifiers’ operation and maintenance simple for consumers.”
