SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA – LG is coming to this week’s Mobile World Congress not only with its high-end LTE Optimus G Pro (see p. 32) but with two lower-priced LTE phones to expand its LTE selection.
The two models are the Optimus F5 and F7, both of which are Android 4.1.2 phones. The F5’s worldwide rollout will begin in the second quarter in Europe, followed “soon” by the Optimus F7 in select markets, the company said.
The Optimus F5 features 4.3-inch IPS display with 256 ppi, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 2,150 mAh battery, 8GB storage, 1GB RAM, 32GB MicroSD slot, 5-megapixel front camera with autofocus and 1.3-megapixel rear camera.
The Optimus F7 features 4.7- inch True-HD IPS display with 312 ppi, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 2,540mAh battery, 8GB storage, 2GB RAM, 32GB MicroSD slot and same cameras as the F5.
Both models also feature Quick- Memo, which lets users use their fingertip to write notes that can be shared, and upgraded QSlide and Live Zooming features that were available only in LG’s premium phones. QSlide lets users open two apps simultaneously, while Live Zooming lets users zoom into a specific area of a video.
This TWICE webinar, hosted by senior editor Alan Wolf, will take a look at what may be the hottest CE products at retail that will be sold during the all-important fourth quarter. Top technologies, market strategies and industry trends will be discussed with industry analysts and executives.
