LAS VEGAS – iHome is expanding its Bluetoothspeaker selection and launching its first docking speakers with Apple’s Lightning connector.
Multiple new home and portable audio products launched here by iHome also include the company’s first Bluetooth-equipped AC/DC boombox.
iHome is also expanding its headphone selection.
In home audio, the company is launching three docking speakers: The iDL100, iDN45, and iDL95. Pricing was unavailable.
The iDL100 is a docking FM clock radio with two Lightning connectors and a USB port certified by Apple for charging iPods, iPhones, and iPads but not streaming their audio through USB. The Lightning connectors can be used to dock the iPhone 5, fourth-generation iPad, and iPad mini. Other key features include aux in, auto syncing of the clock with the clock of the docked Apple device, dual alarms with weekday/weekend settings, programmable snooze time, and ability to wake or go to sleep to music from FM or docked devices. Pricing was unavailable.
The $99-suggested iDL95 FM docking clock radio features single Lightning dock for iPods, iPhones and iPads plus an Apple-certified USB charging port for all three types of Apple devices. It also features aux in, dual alarms, wake to FM or Apple devices, and auto clock sync. The $99-suggested iDN45docking clock radio features Apple’s 30-pin connector for docking, charging and playing music from older Apple devices, including iPads, but it also sports an Applecertified iPhone/iPod/iPad USB charging port.
In portable audio multiple new AC/DC models connect to Bluetooth devices. At least one is the company’s first Bluetooth boombox-style portable.
That model is the $199-suggested iBT44, which features a classic boombox look with carrying handle, FM, dual 4-inch woofers, dual 1-inch tweeters, and a front USB port that charges a docked smartphone when the boombox operates on AC. Music is transmitted via stereo Bluetooth to the boombox.
