AmTran's JVC Shows Trio Of LED LCD TVs

 

LAS VEGAS — AmTran will bring its JVC TV brand to an off-site venue during International CES this week to share with dealers three TV lines – two Black- Sapphire-series models and one Black- Crystal-series unit.

All three products are slated to see second-quarter 2013 introductions at prices to be announced, and all a positioned to hit value-added price points, without more expensive extras like 3D capability.

The highlight of the trio is the the 55- inch SP55M-C BlackSapphire FullHD 1080p LED edge-lit LCD TV.

The model features an ultra-thin bezel design, a 20 million:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 120Hz CrystalMotion image processing and the company’s Internet Connected Experience (ICE) smart-TV platform with built-in Wi-Fi reception.

On-board service apps in the ICE package include: Netflix, YouTube, Vudu, Pandora, Sling- Player and others.

The SlingPlayer app from EchoStar enables the TV to connect over the Internet to view content stored in another room, either in the same house or in another location miles away.

The set also supports the company’s XinemaSound 3D accoustic and post processing technologies with support for Dolby Digital decoding. It also incorporates a USB port capable of picture, music and video playback, and includes a QWERTY-style keypad remote.

The SP55M-C weighs 59.4 pounds with stand, and measures 2 inches deep, 31.1 inches tall and 49 inches long.

JVC’s 50-inch SP50M-C offers the same feature set but in a slightly smaller package, weighing 40.7 pounds with stand, and measuring 2 inches deep, 28.4 inches tall and 44.3 inches long.

Meanwhile, JVC will offer an even more affordable alternative 50-inch LCD TV model in the BlackCrystal BC50R FullHD 1080p edge-lit LED LCD TV.

That model features an ultra-thin bezel design, 120Hz CrystalMotion picture processing, 20 million:1 contrast ratio, XinemaSound 3D acoustic and post processing technologies with support for Dolby Digital decoding, USB picture viewer and an ambient light sensor.

Not included is the ICE smart-TV platform, making it a logical choice for people who lack broadband or already have an exiting smart-TV set-top devices or Blu-ray Disc player.
